Emo Oil supports East Anglia community groups with Bursary funds

December 2012

Emo Oil, local supplier of heating oil and lubricants, is demonstrating charitable spirit by supporting four local worthy causes with a £2,000 donation, as part of its bursary fund.

Of the wide range of organisations which originally applied for the scheme, four projects were chosen to each receive a donation of £500, to help improve the facilities and services they provide for the local community.

Fakenham Social Centre for the Blind, based on Cleaves Drive, will use the money to pay for transport when taking its members on fun day trips, while Chermond Circus Skills, situated on Delta Close, Norwich, plans to purchase equipment for use in its new training premises which the whole community can benefit from.

Ahead of its next production, Threshold Theatre Group, which presents productions at the Norwich Playhouse, aims to use the generous cheque to buy costumes and equipment, while Watton Hockey Club, which trains at the sports centre on Dereham Road, Thetford, will purchase branded kits for the players.

David Pulling, regional manager at Emo Oils, said: “The Bursary fund aims to benefit hundreds of people across the local communities supplied by Emo Oil. These organisations were chosen to receive donations thanks to their vital role within the community. We hope this financial support will enable them to continue to improve the services they provide.”

Emo Oil services commercial, agricultural and domestic customers in East Anglia with road diesel, gas oil, heating oil (kerosene) and a full range of lubricants. Although focused on the communities in the East of England, Emo Oil has the ability to meet the needs of customers nationwide.
